How to use Mi-Link

The Mi-Link journey planner is a new kind of Journey Planner - allowing you to both plan your sustainable door-to-door journeys to and from Milton Park, AND to get access to live information and updates through your favourite channels, including WhatsApp and Messenger. All this without having to download an app!

You can access the Mi-Link service in a number of ways:

  1. If you are at one of the bus stops in or around Milton Park, just scan the Mi-Link QR code on the bus stop, tell us your WhatsApp phone number or opt-in via Messenger, and we’ll send you live departures information and keep you updated on any distruption, direct to your phone.

  2. You can plan journeys directly through the this website just click on the ‘Plan Journey’ button at the top of this page. Let us know when and where you want to travel, along with your WhatsApp or Messenger details and we’ll message you your journey options direct to your phone.

  3. We are also starting to integrate into the third party journey planners that you already use, such as Traveline England (www.traveline.info). You can plan any journey on www.Traveline.info for bus services through Milton Park, including Thames Travel and you will see a link that connects you through to Mi-Link real-time updates for the service.

Our journey planner accounts for factors such as accessibility, mode of transport and even how flat or hilly you want the route to be when planning your journeys.

We will also give you suggestions for your route rated by categories including fastest, best or the most sustainable based on CO² emissions. All of your journeys will be delivered to you via Messenger or WhatsApp (we will be integrating SMS soon), so there is no need to download an App, use up your battery unnecessarily, or find space on your home screen for another app.

To save time, you can sign also sign up to regular updates for your favourite journeys, such as a daily commute, and even create your own personalised departure boards for different routes.

Clicking ‘Keep me updated’ after planning your journey or accessing live departure information ensures that you’ll receive personalised information through Messenger or WhatsApp including live information about any disruption or delays to your journey, and providing alternative routes if necessary.
